“I had promised to fill his bird feeders. Today I was able to keep my promise.”
Even with visitation difficulties, Heartland Hospice volunteers find a way. Recently Chuck, volunteer for Heartland Hospice Serving Southeastern Wisconsin, visited a patient in a unique fashion. “Even though I didn’t get much facial reaction, his eyes lit up once he realized who was outside his window. He held up a newspaper and we talked through the window about the story. I had promised to fill his bird feeders. Today I was able to keep my promise. These are the people that need us the most.”
Thank you Chuck and to all our volunteers that are keeping their promises.
