When Katie, human resources director at ManorCare Health Services – Palm Harbor (FL) heard that the NFL was inviting vaccinated health care workers from across the county to attend the Super Bowl LV, she contacted the NFL to find out how the center could secure tickets for their health care heroes to attend the game. The center was able to get two tickets and held a drawing for their employees who received their second dose of the vaccine. Linh Ferguson, CNA, and Rebecca ‘Becky’ McLean, dietary aide, won the tickets to the Super Bowl.
Linh, who is originally from Kansas City, recently lost her father and was excited to receive this gift. “It meant a lot to me to be able to have the chance to go to the Super Bowl and be honored the way that we were at the game,” said Linh.
“It was such an honor to win the tickets and such a surprise. To see the Super Bowl in person was a dream I never thought would happen. The seats were superb, and I felt like a superstar. Everyone at the stadium were so nice and welcoming. Was definitely an experience I will never forget,” said Becky.
